QT Technologies Debuts In-Cab and In-Office Productivity Improvement at WPMA Convention
Partnered with TST and Liquid Controls for Real-World Demos
Dallas, TX – February 20, 2007 – QT Technologies, an innovator across the petroleum industry, is demonstrating its new QT Productivity Engine™, in two booths (# 218 and #1517) at the 2007 Western Petroleum Marketers Convention and Convenience Store Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada today. QT’s Productivity Engine combines functionalities to ensure that economically optimized workflows are executed in petroleum product delivery and payment processes.
The service utilizes an in-cab unit with a simple to use, touch-screen interface that manages all aspects of delivery – optimized schedules, GPS-based route mapping, product management and payment processing. The “single-click delivery” operation allows the driver to complete each stop very efficiently. Payment can be made by the customer on-site with cash, credit cards, ATM debit cards or ACH/electronic checks.
QT has partnered with two long-term market participants to demonstrate the Mobile Data Terminal at the WPMA Convention. Tri State Tank (TST) will have a terminal in each of their trucks on the show floor (Booth #1517) for owners and marketers to see the equipment in-cab. Liquid Controls, known for intelligent metering, will also have a QT terminal in their booth (#218) to demonstrate both the driver and back office productivity enhancements available to their customers.
The true innovation with the QT Productivity Engine is its operation from the QT Data Center. The Data Center, using cellular and satellite networks, communicates in real-time with each in-cab Mobile Terminal. The information transmitted includes schedule/route updates, on-board volumetric product inventory and detailed customer profiles which contain correct pricing and applicable taxes. With these automatic updates to the in-cab unit, the driver simply moves through the schedule in the order presented to execute an economically optimum route. The real-time connectivity also allows the unit to serve as a point-of-sale device, validating transactions with the payment processors and exercising the strong QT fraud prevention methodologies.
Completing the productivity cycle for mobile petroleum business processes, details on each delivery are communicated upon completion via the Productivity Engine to a back office accounting and/or inventory management system. No changes are required to the client's existing systems since adapters are provided to the leading products. Additional on-line tools for back office personnel such as automated fleet routing, truck tracking, inventory and delivery reporting are also available as part of the QT service.
To address consumer demand for Internet-based interaction, QT can also provide clients with a branded consumer web portal that allows on-line ordering, scheduling, payment processing and reviews of usage history.
The WPMA convention is considered the best petroleum convention and tradeshow in the country. This year’s theme, “Proud of What We Do” will focus on the current success of the attendees and how marketers can strengthen their business with new ideas and new products in an ever-changing world. This theme is consistent with the innovation QT is demonstrating at the event. Attendees can see a live demo of QT Technologies productivity enhancement solutions in the TST booth #1517 and at the Liquid Controls booth #218.
