Jerry Portocalis
President and CEO
Jerry Portocalis has a unique blend of strategic leadership, operational ability and technology experience, all critical to QT Technologies' industry-dominant position.
Prior to joining QT Technologies, Mr. Portocalis was Executive Vice President for BillMatrix Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiserv, Inc., a provider of electronic bill payment systems for large-scale recurring billers including the processing of credit, debit, ATM and ACH payments. He was responsible for all client-facing operations including sales, marketing, implementation and customer service.
Having served in operations, sales and marketing management positions at Bank of America, Automated Data Processing (ADP) and Ceridian, Mr. Portocalis has more than 20 years of experience in technology and electronic financial services.
Mr. Portocalis earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Northern Illinois University and an MBA with a concentration in international business from California State University.
Melissa Morales
Chief Financial Officer
Melissa Morales has direct experience in bringing promising technology companies to their full fruition while maintaining revenue growth and achieving profitability.
Ms. Morales was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of BillMatrix Corporation. She was responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting as well as human resources and administrative functions. Prior to BillMatrix, she was vice president of finance at The Thomas Group, a publicly-held management consulting company. She began her accounting career by spending six years in the audit division of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Ms. Morales has a Bachelors of Business Administration in accounting from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
Gail Moser
Vice President, Marketing
Gail Moser serves as Vice President, Marketing for QT Technologies. She is responsible for all market-facing activities.
Prior to QT Technologies, Ms. Moser served as VP, Marketing for BillMatrix Corporation, an electronic transaction service provider. A subsidiary of Fiserv, Inc., BillMatrix relied on Ms. Moser for all marketing activities.
Ms. Moser brings varied skills to the QT management team. Trained as a chemical engineer, she provided engineering and construction services to manufacturing companies worldwide. Leveraging that knowledge, she developed control software for such facilities and used her communication skills in technical sales support roles. Prior to BillMatrix, Ms. Moser led the international sales and marketing team for Pavilion Technologies, an enterprise performance management software and services firm.
Ms. Moser has over 25 years of experience at Aspen Technology, Raytheon Engineers & Constructors and KBR. She holds an MBA from the University of Houston and a BSChE from the University of Michigan.
Jim Wright
Vice President, Information Technology
Jim Wright brings 20 years of exemplary success in delivering sophisticated IT solutions for businesses in a wide variety of industries.
Prior to joining QT Technologies, Mr. Wright delivered an enterprise-wide multi-channel loyalty program and point-of-sale services using in-store kiosks for a large specialty retailer with over 5000 locations around the globe.
Mr. Wright also served as Vice President of Product and Software Development at Epsilon, Inc., a global direct marketing services company that provides technology and consulting support to 2500 clients. At Epsilon, Mr. Wright was responsible for the overall leadership of the product management, software development, sales, and infrastructure design and support for Epsilon’s marketing products. At Epsilon he managed and mentored multi-technology delivery teams for interactive systems in multiple verticals. Some of these companies were AstraZeneca, SanofiAventis, Progressive, Verizon, JP Morgan Chase, and Charles Schwab.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wright lead teams and developed technology solutions for BMC, Metavante, Pfizer, Intuit and I2 Technologies. He studied Engineering Physics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and pursues advanced degrees in Computer Science at the University of Texas.
